Parent Volunteer Information
One of the topics discussed during our last parent meeting was the upcoming challenges with flu and cold season rapidly approaching. We attempted to problem solve ways to prevent closing classrooms in the event of staff absences, and came to the idea of having a parent volunteer/sub list. This, of course, is entirely optional. Before a parent may act as a volunteer, they must complete a few screening processes as well as trainings. All of our staff go through this same process as they are hired. Screening: 1. Drug Screen - We have an open account at IU Occupational Health on the west side (3443 W 3 rd St Bloomington, IN 47404; 812-353-3443). You can call ahead to make an appointment, and just let them know you are with Jill’s House – they will take care of billing. 2.
