Meet the Director
Sienna Kiel-Binder
Staff member since 2018, Director since 2019
Hello! My name is Sienna, and I am the Director of Jill's House Intergenerational Preschool. My journey into early childhood started in a high school child development course where I was able to create lesson plans and interact with preschool age children. I decided to pursue my degree in Early Childhood Education at Indiana University. I received my Bachelor's with High Distinction in 2017 after student teaching in a preschool in Japan and at Edgewood Primary School.
It was at EPS that I met Elizabeth Stelle, the founder of JHIP. We bonded over our passion for providing the best for children in a loving, respectful, and mindful way and our love for St. Mark's Nursery School. In March of 2017, she told me of her idea to create this intergenerational program, and I was immediately on board. In January 2018, I was able to join her as a lead teacher at JHIP. I have been dedicated to this program ever since, and have so deeply enjoyed the tight-knit community that JHIP provides.
In September of 2019, after Elizabeth moved on to return to teaching, I stepped into the role of director. I felt my knowledge and understanding of best practices in early childhood, passion for quality educators, and familiarity with the heart of the program would make a great fit. I am so grateful to be able to support so many wonderful families in our community, and strive to continue to maintain and improve our amazing program.
